1956 Loire-Normandie as FORT ST PIERRE, a reefer ship. Conv. in 1971 in vehicle carrier, owner Grimaldi. Gt 5001 Dwt 3172 114 X 15,90. Scrapped at La Spezia sept.1980.
Here in Genoa under repairs, in the 70's

This looks like an old Banana ship of the CGT : Fort something ....
Characteristic features are : Hallen Masts , covered passenger's promenades on boat deck .
Old friebd , new guise .

An interesting ship indeed. Maybe one of Grimaldi's very early car carriers converted from a 1950s general cargo ship or reefer?
