There was app. 30 mio EUR (estimated!!) paid for all four cranes. And without 3rd quay and with only one post pamamax ship per week (un/loading cca. 1600 TEUs) the investment won't be justified in 15 years. As the deal was made at the end of 2007, 2 + 2 would be a better option. "Expected" numbers in TEU's for journalists are always lower than estimated in company. And even here the reality is below worst expectaition.

Nice picture, but I wont agree with you that the cranes will wait for better period! In first 9 months they have at the container terminal 2,4% cargo that they were expecting. That's good news for future... but there is much more to be done with the hinterland connection...

And the first crane ( the oldest one ) will be used for spare parts and then slowely scraped.
