Re: the Jacques Desgagnes she sailed in 2003 I photographed her at Cote Ste. catherine, Quebec, while she was loading.

I was told she is for sale, someone was inquiring about purchasing her.

For the Jacques Desgagnés, since I live at Isle-aux Coudres, i never saw activity on the ship. The ship is beached on low tide and float normally on high tide.

She can be called back anytime as berth 56 South is Desgagnés' berth for laid up vessels mostly on the short term. Their ships usually winter there as well.
I'm not sure about Jacques Desgagnés but Nova (ex-Nova D) left under her own power on July 15 to be scrapped in Turkey.

I remember photographing her in Cabot Strait off St.Pierre-et-Miquelon in July 1996. I was a corporate passenger on CICERO at the time.

Excellent view Marc, one of the Desgagnes ships that you don't hear or see very often

Great shot Marc!
Fantastic view of this Desgagnes vessel that rarely trades into the Lakes.
