One of nine Argentinian SD14 liberty ship replacements built under licence from Austin and Pickersgill Sunderland. these had one more accommodation deck than the standard design and unlike the British and Greek built SD14s that had Sulzer engines, the AFNE ships had Doxford 670J4 engines, built by Doxfords in Sunderland. The six AFNE built ships were: Liberatador Jose De San Martin; Almirante Storni, Dr Atilio Malvagni, General Miguel Belgrano, President Ramon s Castillo and Neuquen2. Similar SD14s were also built for Empressa by Robb Caledon in Scotland. These were Salta, Tucuman and Juyjuy 2
