AIS GIORGIS, owned by Zacharias Brothers, was photographed in the Kiel Canal at Brunsbuttel on 29th June 1969 when on voyage from Pietarsaari, Finland, to Iraklion.

Built at Gothenburg in 1941 as DAHLIA for A/B Svenska Lloyd, and commissioned in June 1944, she was sold in 1960 to L.E.Pahlsson of Helsingborg.

Resold to Greece in 1963, she operated as AIS GIORGIS until 1972 when renamed HADIOTIS.

Miramar reports that on 23rd October 1973 she was attacked and sunk, possibly by an Israeli submarine, during a voyage from Alexandria to Benghazi with a cargo of bagged cement
