Description:

CSL's Halifax and Algoma Central's Sauniere layed up at Montreal January 12, 2010. The Sauniere is headed for scrapping. No word on the Halifax. For the past year both ships have been layed up in Montreal.

POST SCRIPT: The Halifax left Montreal May 25, 2011 being towed by the tug Scirocco to ship breakers in Aliaga Turkey. She was the last steamship operated by Canada Steamship Lines. The Saunier has also been sold for scrap.

POST SCRIPT: The Sauniere left Montreal June 02, 2011 being towed by the tug Panormitis to ship breakers in Aliaga Turkey.
