I am sorry to precise that "Lemerle" was the name of her first Master, also called "Le Merle Noir" and not the name of the ship herself.
The tall ship Belem was built in 1896 in Nantes, France, designed to carry cocoa beans from Belem, Brasil, to Le Havre, France; and transportings various freights (coal, animals, etc) in the other way.
