Having seen you waiting for this one, Ken, (I did wave as I passed) I can say that no way can you be considered a 'fair-weather shipspotter'.
Yet despite the atrocious weather conditions, this is not a bad shot. Well done!
I wonder what 'C2C' stands for. The present owners of what used to be the London, Tilbury & Southend Railway (whose former Tilbury Riverside station is in the background of your photo) call themselves C2C, meaning Commitment to Customers.
I wonder if this C2C - a joint-venture between Cobelfret and ECS European Container Services- stands for an equally corny slogan!

Hi Bob,

Many thanks for the compliment, I did see you go by but you had gone before I could flash the headlights.
As you say it was pretty bad and I missed a few earlier ones, can't answer your question but did find this link

This vessel along with C2C Spica (now Spica J) were regulars to Warrenpoint on their route Zeebrugge>Waterford>Warrenpoint. The service was axed a few months ago in favour of a combination roro/container carrier service using Dublin port instead.
Also at the beginning of September last year as Astralis was outbound from Warrenpoint she had a fire in the engine room and lost power and was returned to port after one of the engineers was airliifted tohospital in Drogheda. A photo of the transfer of cargo from Astralis to Spica can be viewed Here

Now showing new name as Arx on AIS, imo 9328625, mmsi 253449000 [LU], callsign LXXR, will be interesting to see what becomes of her after her layup
