I was underneath the bow section when it was launched in July 1972, then on Sun's drydock when we joined the bow and stern sections. Later (in about 1976, after this pic) I designed the support structure for a "scrubber house" fitted atop the engine casing. She was designed to be 126K dwt, measured 129,012 at delivery and, for a brief time, was the largest dwt tanker ever built in the U.S.
