Description:

Leaving Greenock in January 1977. She was built by Austin and Pickersgill in Sunderland in 1959 as BARON MACLAY for H Hogarth.
She was scrapped in 1980 as SKYRIAN HOPE.

Skyrian Hope (59/7746gt), according to the LR really sunk 18 October 1980 about 70 miles N of Gijon, after she developed leakage and Her cargo shifted in heavy seas.

According to Travel of the Tramps, Vol II by Norman Middlemiss the Artagan sank on the 18th Oct 1980, some 60 nm north of Gijon. But in 1977 she became Seapower and in 1980 the Skyrian Hope from NZ sources IMO No.5037163. gsc 23rd DEc 2010.
