The former USCG lightship Huron sits encased in concrete at Port Huron, Michigan and is open as a museum. Built in 1920, US Coast Guard Lightship WLV-526 was retired on Aug. 20, 1970 after several decades of marking the southern end of Lake Huron. Owned by the city of Port Huron and located in a beautiful riverside park.
