She was built in Osaka, not in 1974, but in 1976, as first in series of five vessels for Splošna Plovba Piran. Other ships are still sailing, and Velenje would do the same thing for sure, but after cyclone and grounding in Kandla, summer 1998, damage was too intensive, and vessel was scrapped in November, 1998.

I appreciate your exact datas posted here,Mr.Kronja.Fyg i was Master of m/v Velenje at that time when cyclone occured in Kandla port.If you are interested i can send you exact details and photos during cyclone event and later grounding in river mud after accident,with many damaged and destroyed ships around.
