BEACON 3 (Aleksandr Prokofyev -96), 7,156/75 - container ship, owned by Island Navigation Co. Ltd. (Sea Management Ltd.), Belize. A fire in the engine-room 27/10/2005 north-east of Crete, in position 35.57N 26 .08E, caused her to drift immobilised. The fire was extinguished and she was taken in tow by the tug MATSAS STAR for Piraeus. She was on passage from Gioia Tauro for Mersin and Beirut.
