Hi Dieter,

Very nice pic of a ship we don't see much. It is just from the beginning of september that she serves domestic routes, before she served the Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Brindisi line. She is the sister ship of Gardenia and Begonia of Transeuropa Ferries. She was half sunk in Jedda in 1977, but was rebuilt and lengthened.

Yes, and it was actually very interesting to see that the hull is of the same design. Probably the closest I'll ever be on that freighter class :-D
But the one in Jeddah was actually our Humber Way. Penelope is the former European Gateway which sank off Felixstowe after a collision with Speedlink Vanguard.

But I must tell she's very smoky :-o
