Description:

I found these photos in my father's assets. He was on board of this vessel. When he made the second tour to central america. In September 1939 the vessel was arrested at Puntarenas, Costarica. On March 31, 1941 the crew sank the vessel.
But that's not the whole story. The ship was salvaged the same year in November. In 1942 she was renamed OCEANIA and traded for Cia. Oceanica Ltda. in Puntarenas. 1943 renamed ULTRAMARINO. In 1951 Norddeutscher Lloyd, the former owner of the vessel, bought back the vessel and renamed her TRAUNSTEIN. She traded until September 1960 when she was broken up by Eisen & Metall in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. She was delivered in 1921.
