During 1945-46 she continued trooping between the UK-Gibraltar-Malta - Port Said for the RAF and RN and in 1947, with berths for 846, carried emigrants to the Cape in 'Austerity' conditions.

This is the Arundel Castle of 1921, as stated by Mikkel, my first thought was the old four Funneler Windsor Castle after refit, but after rechecking it is indeed the Arundel Castle, scrapped in 1958. I went aboard her in Cape Town on her final trip, so a bit stupid of me to get her confused with the Windsor.
