As mate on this ship under the command of the late C.L.C. Nicu T. Ionescu(my classmate at the School of Marine Constantza in 1965) I had the misfortune to have to deal with a Communist Party secretary who had pretensions of being treated as officer though he had no patent officer and because I had not agreed to have lunch at the officers room I have been sent to Romania on the fishing West Africa in november 1980.I took the newly built ship in Stralsund, Germany in October 1979 as chief mate and I fished until November 1980 .

I have many great memories with this ship. I have been part of the supervising team during the construction and commissioning in Stralsund. As Chief Electrician Officer under the command of the late C.L.C. Nicu T. Ionescu, I have worked on this ship in the Atlantic waters for the next three years.
