July 10, 2004 (SATURDAY) @ 2:20 pm. THE REMAINS OF ”KINSMAN ENTERPRISE”, FORMERLY OF “KINSMAN MARINE TRANSIT CO” FROM CLEVELAND, OHIO. SCRAPPING BEGUN AT INTERNATIONAL SALVAGE MARINE IN PORT COLBORNE IN 2003. PHOTO TAKEN FROM THE WEST WHARF No. 18-3, BESIDES THE SYLO (ADM MILLING) AT PORT COLBORNE PIERS. IN THE FOREGROUND IS “PROTECTOR” POLICE PATROL BOAT SPEEDING TOWARD HER BERTH AT WEST STREET WHARF No. 18-1 IN PORT COLBORNE.
KINSMAN ENTERPRISE was built in 1927 by American Ship Building Co., Lorain, OHIO, USA as hull # 798 and was launched April 30, 1927 as the straight deck bulk carrier Harry Coulby (2)/Length: 615.16’/Width: 65.16’/Height 28.50’/GT: 9467.00/NT: 7485.00/Capacity 16000.
