Think this was taken in Kiel, Ger. The year was 1968 taken by my grandfather.

Ex Fletcher class destroyer USS Wadsworth DD 516 was laid down on 18 August 1942 at Bath, Maine, by the Bath Iron Works; launched on 10 January 1943

Displacement: 2,325 tons (2,924 tons Full load)
Length: 376 feet 5 inches
Beam: 39 feet 7 inches
Draught: 13 feet 9 inches
Machinery: four Babcock & Wilcox boilers, 2-shaft G.E.C. geared turbines
Performance: 60,000 shp for 38 knots

To West Germany 10/6/59; renamed Z-3;
Stricken 1980; To Greece 10/30/80;
renamed Nearchos; Stricken in 1991.
