Hi Dawid

just one small addition, she now carries the name U. Finsterwalde in white capitals near the stern of the vessel, at least she at the end of April last year when I photograohed her.

The German Navy had about 2.000 barges built by yards in the occupied countries. Most were used for transport, others as AA barges or gun platforms etc. Might well have been built between Dec. 1940 and May 1942. During the war, more and more concrete was used since (scarce) steel was needed for more sophisticated warmachines.

Robert.

Hi Lucasz

I also photographed this in May last year, but no one seemed to know what it was, apart from being a concrete wreck. I can now add the details to my photograph.

cheers
