Yes, Illham, the pictures shown on the sites your are indicating clearly show the same vessel. On the second picture, showing the FIEMME on the same side, you can see the same horinzontal "scratch" (grey color) on the bulbous bow then on this picture taken by mr. Andreas Schlatterer. Well Illham, I think that you just solved that mistery!!!
Captain Ted, I think you may change the name on your pictures... Regards

Hi Captain Ted. Take a good look at the hawse hole of the Twin Star when she was still sailing. They are like major protuberences on her bow. The one on this picture (orange wreck) is much smaller. Also, looking at the size of the bow truster opening, you may determine that this is the wreck of a small vessel, while the Twin Star was quite a big vessel. And like Illhan is suggesting, it could be a vessel the same size as the small LPG carriers AZZURA and FIEMME. On other pictures elsewhere, the bow of the Twin Star seems to be sitting upright on the bottom.

Yes Ilhan you are right. It is not the Twin Star for sure. I was thinking to the Azurra but as Andreas Schlatterer is also showing her cut to the hawse hole, I had to dismiss this option. But the hawse hole and fearleads are clearly the same as the Azurra. Now that you are indicating that she had a sistership, the FIEMME, this is interresting.

My only interrogation is about the color of the hull. The TWIN STAR had a blue hull....

It may be the TWIN STAR - IMO 9171711
"January 27 2006, A Panamanian container ship was split in half Friday after it collided in heavy fog with the Cypriot vessel "Pintail" near the Peruvian port of Callao, officials said. Twenty-two crew members from the Panamanian ship were rescued, said Roberto Colombo, general manager of ENAPU, Peru's national ports agency. He said a U.S. vessel, the Alice, also was struck but was not damaged. The broadcaster Radioprogramas said two crew members were taken to a local hospital, apparently with non-life threatening injuries. Local television broadcast images of the 150-meter (495-foot) Panamanian vessel Twin Star with its stern and bow ends jutting sharply from the water. An expanding fuel slick was visible, emerging from the sinking ship. The Panamanian vessel did not carry any potentially hazardous cargo, Colombo told reporters, "so the problem of contamination is limited to capacity of the ship's fuel tanks." Port officials said the accident occurred around 7:17 a.m. local time (12:17 GMT) as the ships passed each other and that heavy fog appeared to have contributed to the incident."
