Stonewall Jackson loaded military equipment in NewYork on its way to the First Gulf War. After leaving NYC, it encountered severe weather, and the cargo shifted in some barges, bursting the sides open, and spilling steel billets overboard on the Port side. Diverted into Halifax, Nova Scotia seeking a Port of Refuge. Several Mack trucks had been smashed by the loose billets, and were landed in Halifax for disposal.
