Hi all

I´d say she is HMS Liverpool at Malta in 1937

Have a look at this postcard reproduction

Hi hunsch

I think this is not one of the Southampton class but one of the three Gloucester class cruisers:

Gloucester, Liverpool, Manchester.

Best regards

Having done a little detective work, I would say that it's the Liverpool.

It is not Birmingham as she was the only member of her Class that had a flush sided bow section.

I am 90% sure that it is one of five "Southampton Class" Cruisers, which are as follows.
Birmingham Sept 1, 1936
Glasgow June 20 1936
Newcastle (ex Minotaur) Jan 23 1936
Sheffield July 23 1936
Liverpool March 24 1937
I have a picture of Sheffield exiting what appears to be Valletta. Alas it is of poor quality. Hopefully these names may be of some help. Regards Chris
