Built in 1928 by Schichau shipyards (Danzig) as "Magdalena", renamed as "Iberia" in 1934 after she run aground near Curacao. Was transferred to the USSR as a part of reparations after the World War Two. Suffered major fire in Black Sea in September 1, 1948, 2 crew members and 40 passengers died (including the family of Chinese Marshal)
