The UK Border Agency (formally HM Customs) Law Enforcement Cutter Sentinal was launched from Vosper Thornycroft in Porchester in 1995 and the only Island Class in British waters.Originally fitted with Paxman Valeta V12 diesels but these were later replaced by two Caterpillar blocks , giving a fair old speed of 26kts , she also has an additional waterjet drive to tread water at very low speedsand also a complement of 12 crew.
