I agree, Phil. She looks like around 50 metres of lenght.
Phil English on Feb 08, 2011 09:28 (7 years ago)
Actually, ignore my last comment. Looking again, I'd say she is smaller than 71 metres, so I am going to go with IMO 9072927, which is 53.3 m LOA and 550 dwt.

According to a Japanese speaking colleague, she is "DAIKOKU MARU". There is no number suffix. There are three candidates, but I think that IMO 9066459 is the most likely, 498 gt and 71.7 metres LOA.

Actually, she looks a little small for 1500 dwt, I would guess around 800-1000 dwt. I change the IMO nr to 9003902 then, hope it is the correct one.

Thanks for solving these japanese mysteries! :) So this one is named DAIKOKU MARU + a number, if I understand correct? I have taken many pictures of japanese vessels which names are unreadable to me, I will post more of them further on.
