J.R. Rouble (First time I have seen her although locally stationed and registered. I must admit a very strange looking tug – looks more like a drilling platform supply vessel) is underway toward Lake Ontario. She was transitind downbound Welland Canal. Photographed from the wharf # 2 at Port Weller on October 12, 2005 @ 1505 to 1507.

Indeed a controversial vessel. I had her originally in a tug section (as per Transport Canada) although I was sceptical - see my original comment. So much for the gouvernment's source reliability. Mat had her listed under the dredgers section, I’ll ad a bit more controversy by putting her in “Offshore” section.

Apparently, she's not a tug but a sort of offshore processing/drilling barge. See Matt Ruschers pic:

nice pic of her, ive only seen her at her dock in Port Maitland,ON. I could never find her IMO # either so i just use the canadian reg. number.
