Hi Tost, yes you are right for the number, but during this time they use all the time call sign F419. Fwd is marked something but I didn't succeeded to see it, because of her position. Even I saw her only one time but I heard them so many times. Thanks one more time for this information.
All the best....

Hi Emiliyan! thanks for answering! May I ask: where was this hull number F419? On the hull? Very small? On this picture I cannot see it ... Evt it could be a special operation number during the anti-piracy operations ... but the regular hull number is F44.

Dear Tost,
Thanks a lot for this information! But i was more than 4 months in the Gulf of Aden and this frigate all the time used this number which I posted. I really don't know the name, class and etc., but during the period of Feb-Jun 2009 she was one of the most dangerous navy ship for Somali pirates.

This is F44 INS Tabar, as you can read on the hull under the flight deck ... special: she wears no visible hull number, evlt during anti-piracy operations?
INS Tabar is the third of the Talwar class.
INS Sahyadri is not yet commissioned ... sorry Lukasz! ;-)
