From CARLOS MOSCON - MARSHIP AGENCIES - VITORIA BRAZIL.
SS MORMACDRACO - From the fleet of More Cormack Lines - Nyw York.

Phantastic.... In 1981, this vsl was loaded General cargo in Vitoria Port - Brazil, I was Agent from the Wilson,Sons company, who did the attendance at that time.
All others such Mormaclinx, MormacVega,Mormaccargo,Mormacaltair.... loaded a lot of coffee from our port, and they start a " Revolutionary
Method of Transportation " Safety-Steel-Boxes, called CONTAINERS....nice to see that part of History still exist.... even in another configuration.....
Regards to all...

Even apart from the paint job and the radar antennae, this ship still looks a lot different than it did in 1969. In the early 1980s four of these ships (Mormacdraco, Mormacargo, Mormacvega and Mormacaltair) were lengthened and converted into a cellular container ship.

Bob,
As a matter of facts, with her masts and derricks was a beauty!

AMAZING! I photographed this ship 42 years ago as MORMACDRACO.
I did not realise it was still actually going (I thought it was rusting away somewhere up some river in the US reserve fleet.
I am now trying to find my slide of MORMACDRACO, to scan and post it.
It looked a bit different in 1969!
