In 1993 , under the name America Star , she left Greece under tow of the tug Neftegaz67 , they met a storm in the North Atlantic when the tow line broke and two other tugs were called in for the rescue but this was to no avail. After the liner's crew were rescued by helicopter , she was set adrift and left to nature , eventually running aground of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. Signs of her massive hulk still remained in 2010.
