Asheville Class Patrol Craft P230 PC/PG ORMI of the Greek Navy berthed at Rhodes on Feb 20th,2011. This class were built in America in 1969 in response to the Cuban missile crisis but were kept in reserve from 1977 until being handed over to the Greek Navy in 1990.They gross 240 tons and have a range of 1700 miles at 15kn, with a top speed of 24kn.Armament is 4xSSM Aerospatiale SS 12m wire guided missiles, 1 USN 3in(75mm)/50Mk34 gun, 1xBofors 40mm and 4x 12.7mm(2 twin)Mg's.
