Hopper barges transport the dredgings to the reclamation area, they are then mixed with cement to make mudcrete and will fill in about 1/2 the 9.4. hectare terminal expansion.The minimum depth of the shipping lane will increase from 11 metres to 12.5 metres so that container ships will be able to call at almost all stages of the tide.
