Isn't the bulbous bow supposed to be below the waterline?!

No problem Neil. Talking of the 'Boeing' comparison - which I can definitely see - that bulbous fore end reminds me more of another aviation classic, the ATL98 Carvair. To those unacquainted with things aviation-wise, this was a car carrier of the air (Car-via-Air).
