April 20, 2006 @ 1128 hrs. ALGOCAPE downbound Welland Canal, has just cleared Old Guard gate & Abitibi Plant; she will be berthing behind at the southeast approach wall to lock 7 (above lock 7). Motor for the south gate operation in lock # 7 has broken down, new one had to be installed. This has created delay for the entire traffic transiting Welland Canal.
