This is the second Crescent tug to have this name

Admiral Jackson 280459 Twin screw harbor tug, b. 1960 by Dravo Corp., Neville Island, Pa.; reb. 2008 by Bollinger Algiers LLC, New Orleans. 96.3 x 25.2. GE 8V-228 diesels, repowered 2008, 4200 hp. Reintjes red. 4:1. Kort nozzles. Orig. JERSEY CITY, owned by Penn Central Railroad, New York City. Sold March 1974, renamed GLENN SMITH; present name Dec. 2008 by Crescent Towing Co., Inc., New Orleans, La.

Another ex-NY harbor railroad tug. The main mast with that counter weight is a trademark of that class called the GMA.
Crescent Towing rebuit them, making the wheelhouse much lower and thus spoiling their original good looks.

Excellent shot of a classic tug.
