Hi Capt Ted,

I live in Harwich which has a large harbour with the port of Felixstowe on opposite bank to Harwich. The harbour is estuary to the River Stour with upriver port of Mistley and the River Orwell with up river port of Ipswich.
The area I live is know as East Anglia.
It is also home to the east coast ports of Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The large bay to the north of East Anglia is known as the Wash. The ports of Kings Lynn, Wisbech, Sutton Bridge and Boston are on rivers which empty into the Wash.

best regards
Derek

Hi Bob,

I was lucky as there was nothing in the docks at Lynn, but I knew this one was out in the Wash and what time the tide was.
We only got there about 20 minutes before she was passing to berth on the Riverside at Kings Lynn.

best regards
Derek

Well caught Derek, a ship at Kings Lynn. I've stopped off there many times and not yet caught a ship but now I have renewed confidence :-))
