Description:

Blue Funnel Line's MELAMPUS, launched at Newcastle on 15.12.59, photographed berthed at T shed, Avonmouth, by the late R.M.Parsons. She was trapped in the Suez Canal between June 1967 and 1974 and, together with AGAPENOR, abandoned to underwriters. In 1975 she became Grecomar's ANNOULA II while AGAPENOR became their NIKOS.
