Delivered on November 24th, 1970, the ship was one of long B-41 series, built (in most cases) by Gdynia Shipyard, for various owners:

Comparing to earlier B-41/I vessels, the ship had i.a. 60t Stulcken derrick and hydraulically operated folding hatch covers.
Radar mast obviously turned out to be too flexible and has been strengthened later.
As a curiosity, m/s "Tirana" was also presented on - at least - two post stamps.
