Drava River, Osijek, Eastern Slavonia, Croatia (that time Yugoslavia)
Old foot passenger river ferry KOMPA ("Stara Kompa"), crossing between Osijek-Gornji Grad and the zoo of Osijeka which is on the opposite bank of the Drava river. This picture from 1964 was taken from the "zoo side". This ferry line is still running, while the ferry itself is replaced by a new one ;-)
This line is in operation since 1918, the original (first) KOMPA was called "Osijek", built by Mr. Dragutin Ilik and belonged to Mr. Arpad Csiky.
