As per Miramar, she was beached on the East coast of Madagascar : fire 8.9.71 & beached 23.23.42S/43.41.6E 11.9.71 [Gdynia-Chittagong, coal]

I was 3rd mate of her on her maiden voyage. I joined her the day before she was launched and stood by while she was building. We left Sunderland on the 2nd January 1959 for New Orleans then to Texas City loaded grain for India. we stopped at Jamaica and Columbo for bunkers after sailing around South Africa. Then we stopped at Madras for part discharge then up to Calcutta for final discharge. We then sailed for Western Australia where we loaded grain for UK/Continent via Suez. I believe she was run aground and remains in West Africa...
