It is a nice ship. I have traveled with MS Lofoten many times. In 2010 i was onboard in 17 days Tromsø- Kirkenes-bergen-Kirkenes-Bodø.

A really great photo and a great ship.
I went with that ship (IMO 9107784) through the Chilean fjords and to Antarctica in December 2003 and in Norway in summer 2004 from Berlevag to Hammerfest and again in April 2010 a Hurtigruten round trip Bergen-Kirkenes-Trondheim. It is my favorite Hurtigruten ship.

I agree with Clive Harvey a really superb photograph, see also "Nordstjernen" by the same photographer, again superb.

I have not been much bothered about these new Hurtigruten vessels as I much preferred the older classic ships. The previous Nordnorge was really lovely. However, this is a really fantastic photo and will perhaps make me look again at these ships.
