Additionally Combat Fleets 1987 stated she was the oldest active naval ship in the world and was still in use as a training ship.

IMO 5617475

Built as Dave mentions as MAHROUSSA as yacht for Viceroy of Egypt in 1865 by Samuda Bros,Poplar,United Kingdom.
Reconstructed by A & J Inglis at Glsgow in 1905.
Refitted at Portsmouth Dockyard in 1920.
Refitted at Malta Dockyard 1946-1947.
Again reconstructed as seen in photo by Odero-terni,Muggiano,Italy in 1949-1950, the cost being 1.25 million pounds.

She is listed under Egyptian Navy in Janes 1941/1951
and Combat Fleets 1987, whre it was mentioned she had carried President Sadat in 1980 for a fleet review.

Later renamed EL HORRIYA not EL HORRIA.

This ship began life way back in 1865 as Mahroussa, and is one of the oldest still operating ships on the planet! mrdot.
