Officials said that strong winds pushed the 54,763-tonne ship Costa Europa into a pier as it tried to dock at the resort. A 2m gash opened in its hull, allowing water to flood into a cabin and trapping the crewmen: an Indian, a Honduran and a Brazilian.

The 24-year-old ship, carrying 1,437 passengers, had been on an 18-day cruise from Dubai to Savona.

Costa seems to be bedeviled by accidents and tradedy and is definately the lack of quality and professionalism of their crews.

Good photo.
Tragic that 3 crew members died.
Now sails for Thomson Cruises.
I think the ship is listing to allow repairs to be carried out.
