As allways, really, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I like these a little more soft-shaped cruisers.

I always liked these "pocket sized" ex-Cunarders. I was only eleven when the Countess entered service, so why were they criticised back then?

When you consider how these ships were criticised when new, I never thought I'd ever hear one of them described as being 'a beautiful old lady.' Certainly a very evocative photo though.

That's the dark side of these oldies I like to forget about... Had such an experience with Costa Marina beneath a bridge on Kiel Canal. It was suffocating...

Agree! Shot her one week later in Oslofjorden, you should have seen the exhaust. It was TERRIBLE. I1ll upload a shot of that soon
