Inbound for Rotterdam in 1969, probably from Khorramshahr, is seen Polish Ocean Lines' 1940 Danzig (Gdansk) built GENERAL WALTER, launched as LODZ but completed at Elsinore in 1943 as MINDEN. After a few months in 1945/6 as EMPIRE NIDD, she was allocated to the Soviet Union and briefly traded as DENIS DAVYDOV until transferred to Poland in 1947. She was scrapped at Hong Kong in November 1970
