1958 - laid down on contract from Willy Bruns & Co., Hamburg, but sold on the blocks to Rederi A/S Svenska Lloyd, Göteborg, Sweden.
Builder: Lubecker Flender Werke, Germany.
Propulsion: MAN single diesel motor, 8-cyl. - 7,200 bhp - 14 knots.
Launched: 31/10/1958. Completed: 2/2/1959.
Launched as "OLIVIA". Visited NZ twice, 1960 and 1966.
1969 - "BENTE BROVIG" - A/S Brovigtank & A/S Havfiske (Th. Brovig), Farsund, Norway.
1979 - "BLOSSOM" - Blossom Shipping Co. (Tidewater Commercial Co. Inc., Baltimore, MD). Registry - Monrovia.
31/12/1980 - exploded forward, broke in two, approx 50 nm west of Sardinia on a voyage in ballast from Port de Bouc, France to Taranto, Italy. Forepart sank. Aft section towed but broke away. One fatality. 30 survivors picked up by Soviet vessel "SPLIT" and landed at Lavera, France.
11/1/1981 - Aft section drifted aground at Cap Farina, Tunisia and abandoned.
