Description:

Downriver in Gravesend Reach 17/4/81. Can anyone confirm her type, bulker or general cargo?

Judging by the funnel markings, she was on charter to Reed who, I believe, were involved with forestry products and paper. Therefore, I am inclined to think she was a single decker, maybe an early open-hatch example?

Hi Phil,
I guess, it is a bulker built in the early sixities. There are lots of bulkers with a similar shape built mainly in Scandinavia in that time.
Anyway it is a very good looking ship, one of my favourite types.

It was a 'tweendecker general cargo ship and spent most of its career carrying paper and wood-pulp.
