Description:
During the 1950's the Bowater Paper Company built nine ships in two groups, six smaller pulp carriers and three larger ships, one of the latter being the Sarah Bowater seen here at the company's plant on the Thames. These three were steam turbine powered and Sarah Bowater came from Denny's in 1955. Sold in 1968 and renamed Vainqueur Rose and in 1970 Grand Trader she arrived at Kaohsiung to be broken up in 1971.
