The History of gaff ketch "NADEZHDA". 1912-Built by Gebroeders Boot in Leiderdort( Holland) as steel sailinglogger "STERNA" SCH 374 (Fishingboat for Scheveningen) ; 1927.2 august- Sold Bernhard Heinecke (Hamburg),converted to a General cargoship and renamed "EDELGARD". ; 1929- A Junkers engine was built in E made/fitted 28:2 cycle 2 cylinder 70 hp Deutsche Werke 24.53 x 5.71 x(2.96) ; 1936,18 july - Sold to Graf von Luckner(Hamburg) and renamed "SEETEUFEL"(Hamburg)/BOw lengthened and altered 26.94 x 6.58(2.86)..(Scooner Yacht with clipperbow) M.A.N.140 hp. ; 1937,18 april-1939,19 july- Round the World voyage" SEETEUFEL"...Oslo,Panama canal,Haiti,Australia,Indonesia,Aden,Suez canal,Mediterranean sea,Italy,England,Germany.Captain:Felix Graf von Luckner.; 1942,11 april- Homeport: Stettin,East Prussia. ; 1943- Sold to Hans Haas. ; 1945- Repartatsia to USSR. ; 1947,12 february- Renamed "NADEZHDA" .Transferred to the Squad of training Ships Naval Preparatory School/Leningrad,USSR. ; 1948,14 june- Transferred to Leningrad Navy School of Nakhimov/Leningrad,USSR. ; 1949-Awarded the title of the UPS 4 rank (Training Sailing Ship 4 rank). ; 1956,24 june- Transferred to the Central Yacht club of Leningrad naval base. ; 1958- Renamed "PKZ-134"(ПКЗ-134)/ Leningrad. ; 1958,18 june- Deducted from the Russian Navy. Transferred to the"SDUSHOR"(Children s sport school of Olimpic reserve).Renamed "LENINGRAD"/ Leningrad,USSR. ; 1962-Major overhaul in the factory "Almaz"/Leningrad. ; 1970,27 june- Took part in the celebration of shool graduates "Scarlet Sails"/ Leningrad. ; 1993- Renamed "NADEZHDA" (Saint-Petersburg Central Yacht Club VZSPS(Trade Union) St.-Petersburg.RUSSIAN FEDERATION; 2008,october-Sold to Sidorov A.N. With all due respect it would appear that the individual who has posted this, and other, photos of a boat called Nadezhda is speaking about another ship by the same name. Nadezhda waa built in Poland in 1991 for Russia (at the same shipyard where Mir, Pallada, etc. were built.) I do not expect that Russia has two tall ships named Nadezhda.
