M/V AKADEMIK TRESHNIKOV is a scientifically-forwarding vessel of the project 22280. It has been designed design office "CKB Baltsudoproekt" and intended for maintenance of activity of the Russian Antarctic expedition. Into its problems will enter: delivery of cargoes and replacement of the personnel of the Antarctic stations, carrying out of research works and studying of natural processes at ocean, and also export of a waste and garbage from Antarctic.
On the technical parameters a new vessel more modern and reliable, than its predecessor - AKADEMIK FEDOROV. In compartments and cabins of a vessel to passengers and crew comfortable conditions for work even are provided at temperature of external air - a minus of 40 degrees of Celsius. AKADEMIK TRESHNIKOV is capable to be in independent swimming till 45 days, to go in ices in the thickness over meter and to pass for one swimming to 15 thousand n miles.
